Tell Your Story

The 2nd Annual 2008-2009 Partners in Philanthropy (PIP) supplement will include profiles of nonprofit and cultural organizations as well as foundations.

Now in its second year, the PIP supplement is an opportunity to tell your story to the region and the nearly 90,000 readers of the Philadelphia Business Journal. Our readers have the time, money and desire to support these organizations.

The 2008-2009 edition of the supplement will publish November 21, 2008. All paid subscribers receive a copy as part of their subscription. Additionally, the supplement is distributed at several Philadelphia Business Journal events throughout the year including the Corporate Philanthropy Awards summit in May and the South Jersey Philanthropy Awards summit in September.

A PIP commitment includes two full pages in the book. Your information appears on the left and your sponsor's ad appears on the right. Our retail advertising rate for a two-page display is normally about $15,000. The Philadelphia Business Journal will underwrite almost 85% of this cost, making your two-page display only $2,600. If your sponsor would like to run their full page ad in color, please add $875 to the cost of your display, a total of $3,475.

As you can see, this supplement will provide you and your sponsoring company a year's worth of advertising for a fraction of the cost of a retail ad of the same size. This is an excellent opportunity to reach potential supporters at minimal cost.

How to Participate

Obtain an agreement from your account executive, and return it by November 1, 2008. Your signed contract reserves your place in the book. PIP displays are non-cancelable. You may pay in advance by indicating that on your contract. If you wish to be invoiced, payment terms are net 30.

The Two-Page Display

The left side of the display is where you tell your story. See the "Samples" for the type of information that our readers look for and which you'll be asked to provide. The template into which you enter your text is downloadable from this site under the "Submission" heading. Copy and ad deadlines are November 1, 2008.

The right side of the display is for your sponsor's full page ad. The size of the ad is 10" wide by 12.625" high. Digital ad specifications can be downloaded along with the template.
